Many player computer options exist. Choosing the right player for your implementation will depend on the type of content being displayed and the physical location of the player in relation to the display. The information below will help you make the right decision for your digital sign.

Minimum Specifications

  • Processor: Intel Core i3 eighth generation or greater
  • Memory: 8 GB or greater (two DIMMS preferred)
  • Storage: 120 GB SSD or greater
  • Graphics: Intel Integrated graphics
  • Operating System: Windows 10 x64 Enterprise 2021 LTSC

Recommended Specifications

  • Processor: Intel Core i5 eighth generation or greater
  • Memory: 8 GB or greater (two DIMMS preferred)
  • Storage: 256 GB SSD or greater
  • Graphics: nVidia or AMD discrete graphics
  • Operating System: Windows 10 x64 Enterprise 2021 LTSC

Micro Form Factor Player

A micro form factor player is a great option for all types of content, and when the player must be mounted very close to the display. Often, this means mounting just above or behind the display. All options listed below have companion wall brackets for mounting.

Small Form Factor Extra Durable Player

This type of player should be used for enclosed spaces, such as a freestanding kiosk enclosure, cabinet, or closet. This size of player computer can typically be configured with a discrete graphics card, making it ideal for wayfinding kiosks with building and campus map content. The Dell OptiPlex XE3 is the approved standard extra durable player.
